The pinnacle of the 'mega-tecture' sector of architectural design, Pugacheva was conceived as a mixed-use development with programmatic requirements shifting between residential and commercial, leisure and entertainment – all captured within a 17-storey monolith that served as a catalyst for regenerating a redundant pocket of highway-side wasteland between city and suburbia in the outskirts of Moscow's eastern inner city.
