Past Experience with Architectural design firms has afforded personnel from the FORMplay team varied and fundamental experience across all design and construction work stages. While working for Populous, an award Architectural design firm focusing predominantly on sporting arenas, FORMplay carried package lead responsibilities for the Olympic Stadium for the London 2012 Olympics - from detailed design phase through to practical completion. This has afforded us first hand knowledge of dealing with large scale sporting Arena venues with stringent quality assurance measures and strict confidentiality protocol for the handling of information.
Our experience was based at site through the construction phase as part of a multidisciplinary design team employed directly by Sir Robert McAlpine group as contractor. This construction team model afforded us a direct working relationship with the principle contractor's domestic subcontractors and meant design was made into production drawings and built at location in a 'production-line' scenario. Valuable knowledge was gained by working with contractors in this capacity and helped to develop a firm understanding of the requirements of contractors to design for building.
